Teller Senior Coalition offers lunch & transit service

By Carolynne Forster

The Teller Senior Coalition (TSC) stands as the only organization in the county offering meals, transportation, education, infor-mation and handyman projects for disabled and senior citizens. Individuals in southern Teller County can sign up for these programs at the Cripple Creek Senior Club in the Aspen Mine Center on Wednesdays between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. The Club is on the second floor, and there is an elevator near the first-floor coffee shop. One can also sign up by calling 687-3330 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Hot meals, prepared fresh on site, are provided through the Golden Circle Meal Program in the Aspen Mine every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 11:45 a.m.

Travel service is available Monday through Friday. We can take you to doctor and dental appoint-ments, the grocery store, post office, bank, etc. Sign up first, and then call to schedule your ride 24 hours in advance.
Betty Ward, at right, won a handcrafted walking stick at morning Bingo before enjoying lunch with fellow players Charlotte and Jim Mozena. Luncheon is served via Golden Circle Meals Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m.

Computer classes (in Woodland Park) and computer trouble-shooting are available through our Dr. Computer program. We sponsor various field trips throughout the year, so watch for specifics in the TSC Newsletter!
